Hopefully if you are taking more than the 8 the insurance is paying for, you can cover the difference. Oxy is not that expensive.
But this was stuff I knew was coming from reading the new programs the DEA is integrating etc.
I don't think there is anything we can do to change this rule. Insurance companies pay for the better part of our meds, so they feel they can dictate just how much will be prescribed. Which is the doctors job, not the insurance company.
Plus remember they don't have to pay for "extra" meds and this way they save money.
