Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
All the added stress will make anything hurt worse, but this isn't being caused by the stress!
Please take care of yourself...

As to your mom's estate...well I understand the feelings but there is nothing you can do about the will. As executor you are legally bound to follow the terms so just do it. Hire a lawyer and let him take over. If your sister and brother are causing problems now it will only get worse and you are better off getting professional help right from the start. That way you can honestly say the lawyer is dealing with it and you can take care of you.
I have severe crohns disease (along with other health issues) and one of the VERY important things my GI doctor says is IF you see black stool call ASAP and get in here. That can be an indication of internal bleeding. I had to go through away from my home town to a larger city to get the proper care. It was worth it.
If I were you I would push as hard as you need to to get to a GI doctor that is a good one.
Hugs,
Rach
Hi hun. I am sorry you lost your mother on February 27th. I am not surprised by you saying that you were expecting it and dealt with it in your own way. She was sick a long time and for many when their mom or dad has been sick a long time it is a blessing when they finally go. Your family members need to leave you alone and let you deal with it your own way. I am sorry you are going through this on top of having problems with upper GI bleeding. This is a serious problem that shouldn't be ignored. Do you have the name of a specialist to see? You mentioned several phonecalls but who are you calling? I am concerned about you. If you continue to have black tarry stools you will become anemic and require immediate intervention at some point. It is vital you see a GI specialist if at all possible before the weekend. If worse comes to worse you can always go back to the ER. As far as the pills go...please be careful. Ihavelost close friends this way and believe me it is easy to do so please go get help for your depression. I care about what happens to you sweetheart. I will keep you in my prayers and I mean that. I am going to spend time tonight prayingfor you and your situation. Love and hugs to you!!!
i do have a suggestion i want to share with you: the way you dr, nurse, and receptionist have been treating you is deplorable. i would go over their heads. everyone has to report to someone higher up the chain. find out who that is- if your dr is part of a group practice, the practice might have somene who oversees the practice. if he is affiliated with the hospital, there may be a hospital administrator who oversees him. if he is completely independent, he is still accountable to the licensing board. find out who the "higher up" is, contact them, and tell them what is going on. 1st of all, hopefully this person is ethical and caring. 2nd, even if he or she is not a caring person, s/he will still be worried about the action you could take against them due to this drs negligence.
i also agree that as you are so ill and are suffering, going to the ER is really important. mainly of course because you need treatment asap, but an added benefit is that when you do report the dr, if you tell the person you ended up in the ER due to his negligence, that bolsters your position.
i know i havent touched upon your emotions during this time; i will when im able, but i want you to know how sorry i am for your loss and what you are going through with your famiy... i am here for you- we all are- and i support you and hope you feel better in all ways... huge gentle hugs to you; you are in my thoughts. keep us updated honey.
If your Dr. won't get you the help you need, then ask the ER Docs to help you get what you need, before this turns worse and into an emergent situation.
I'm sorry for your loss and I hope life calms down for you, so that you can focus on taking care of you.
