Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
You have come to the right place to get support and to talk about pain. Everyone here understands pain because we are there, so I am sure that you are going to find a lot of support and listening ears that will be here for you. You take care and I hope to talk to you soon!

My pain was NOT being controlled at all, and I've been a chronic pain patient for 24 years. Currently, I'm on Opana and Lyrica, and that seems to be doing better than anything else I've ever been on. Before this, I was on methadone, and that just wasn't controlling my pain. I'm also on Topamax for the burning type pain, plus Cymbalta for depression.
I'm more confortable that I have EVER been, and that's saying alot. The last 24 years have been hell so i'm quite please with this.
I hope and pray you can get some relief from your pain. Don't hesitate to keep posting. Hopefully we can help you somehow. God bless. Hugs, Lee
You're going to find a loving, warm, supportive environment here. Although we're all going through our own issues, we're all in pain. I've been astounded by the support I've received and humbled by the courage of the other posters.
Welcome to DS! If your current meds aren't working well, there are many others to try. Instead of morphine you can try: Opana ER, Dilaudid, methadone, fentanyl patches, Oxy ER.We are all different. Just yesterday I read a post from someone VERY unhappy with Opana ER and here Leeall says it works better for her than everything else, after decades of pain! (It worked fine for me too.) Trial and error is involved.
I am so sorry you need us at such a young age, but we are here to support you and we understand, which is often in short supply with relatives and friends who have never been through anything like chronic pain.
I look forward to hearing more from you!
