Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

I went to a chronic pain center two years ago and there were more women than men. However, the women in my group had very serious injuries where I just had severe DDD.
But on this board, I think it's fairly evenly split. I have no idea if men can tolerate pain more than women, or just will not admit that they have pain issues. My guess, the latter.
Men on the other hand tend to be "hand it to me". They expect others to make appts for them and tell them what to do. Rarely do they research or ask friends for recommendations. They just don't admit what is going on and don't want to talk about it. They also tend to be working through their pain. If they can't work usually they are at a point that they can't do anything including posting online.
That's the way I see it.
