Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I have been overweight for a long time and it's not a lot of fun. Lately though I have been losing weight, and I too can't do very much activity at all. I have found Weight Watchers works quite well if you stick with it. They encourage exercise, but it's still possible to do the plan even if you can't do any exercise. They have a couple different types of plans.... the names of them just changed so I'm not sure what they're called. I like the one where you eat all the healthy foods best, because I find you can eat more and feel satisfied. They have both online membership as well as meetings in person. Also, if you can't afford much you can join just long enough to learn the program, then stop paying and do it on your own. They have message boards online that are really helpful and they're free.
Good luck!
Eventually, I stopped the Neurontin and lost down. At my top weight, I was 180 and now I'm down to 150, which still isn't where I'm used to being but these days I have a different perspective of what attractiveness is and it has nothing to do with weight.
When you like yourself and are confident, you are at your most attractive no matter what you look like. It's true. Think about it. What attracts you to a person whether it be sexual or just in the day to day run of things when you meet people?
That being said, I am still watching what I eat. I don't count calories as much as try to eat healthy. I take supplements that help with overall wellness.
Bottom line, I'm 43 and I like who I am much more now than I ever did when I was in my 20s even if I do weight 30 pounds more.
