Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

But...if you normally run normal...I would SO call your doc about this...that seems like quite a drop.
Do you have NY thyroid issues?
IDK anything about this...maybe hormones? It sure wouldn't hurt to ask your doc if it's something that needs looking into..I would.
Huhs...jc
Please mention i to your doc, though. All we can do is throw out ideas!
Hugs...
You call your doc yet?

Right now I am just in a painic, cold, pain, need to get my son to the dr. and don't have anyone to help me.
Son is still in a lot of pain....I thought he would be doing better by now. They are going to take another x-ray to make sure the bone hasn't shifted. (for those who don't know, my son broke his collar bone)
My mom also called and said she has to have a cat scan tomorrow because they are worried about another blood clot. She had a blood clot in her lungs about two years ago. She's been on blood thinner since. She is wanted me to go with her but I think I really need to keep my dr. appt. I'm practically raising the two boys by myself. I'm not going to be any good to them or anyone else before long if I don't get this pain and stuff under control.
jan, a little late, but i'm glad for your humor!
Are you having hot flashes?
A flash is actually a 30 minute process (approximately 30 min).
First
the body temp drops and you feel chilled.
That can last for around 10 mintues.
Then the temp can soar as high as 103.
I forget how long that lasts (seems like forever to me)
Then it gets normal again
Of course by this point you are wet and trying to
get into warm dry clothing and don't tend to notice anything else
going on.
Interesting aside:
Hot flashes are actually a woman's body experiencing withdrawal from estrogen.
SO all of us women are addicted to estrogen! Ain't that a hoot!
And those of us going thru menopause know exactly what it feels like to go thru withdrawal.
Estrogen is stored up in FAT! If you are slithgly heavy, you have stores that reduce the flashes because the body can get it's fix of estrogen from the fat.
YEAH! A good reason to eat more ice cream.
This is also why male doctor's decided to eliminate women from research into heart attacks leading to the fallacious belief that woman can not have heart attacks. BOO!
Noiw that you have way more info than you ever wanted.
Try to track these episodes. Remember that women as young as 25 can have flahes during times of serious stress even when they are getting their period..
And it can last and last and last and last and last.
Hope it's nothing serious.
Hugs,
Ama
