Sorry your meds are late...I hope they do not leave them in the mailbox like always happened before....that they actually hold them at the PO for you to pick up...but hopefully they tell you they are there before the end of business on weekend....

IF my meds did not get misdelivered to someone else, which has happened more than once, they should come in today's mail or Saturday's mail. As my mail does not get delivered until as late as 7pm, not sure how that works, it means if they come today and need a signature, I can still pick them up on Sat. Or they will leave them in the mail box - as usual.

Basically, I am on one vicoden a day until they come in... instead of six. I have ten left... but my hydrocodone were supposed to be here around the first of the month.

Of course, I am also cutting back on gaba back down to 1200 mg a day.

Oh my hubby is great. I love him to death, but sometimes he needs to find a hobby! Talking with me cannot be what he does most of the day, seven days a week.

ok here comes the nosey neighbor question....why is hubby not at work all the days of the week that most hubbies are at work? LoL you need to explain I just decided I was not sure why he is always home and not at work so my enquiring mind had to ask this dumb question...LOL

Hubby has been out of work since I was diagnosed with cancer 2 1/2 years ago. He had to stay home and keep me ok for about 8 months... I could not have gotten through without him... and by that time in the world of IT he was completely outdated. Combined with a couple of major layoffs by Boeing and Microsoft and IT personnel who used to command $30 an hour with just experience and an AS degree, now command $12 an hour with a Bachelor's - which he does not have.

We live far enough outside of the metro area that with gas at or around $4 a gallon, he spends more in gas than his paycheck covers for most jobs. This is one of the main reasons we are not working to stay with this house, but flip it and get into another area.

Oddly enough, since I started this post, he is currently on a phone with a head hunter for a job. It is almost a two hour drive each way, but money is money! His voice sounds excited about this job, so maybe this one will pan out!

You bring good luck - he is now on a phone interview!!! Fingers crossed!!!!

Yeah - so he went through the phone interview with flying colors. It sounds like they are going to forgo an in person interview and just give him a "yes or no" on if he has the job on Monday!!!!!

It is a NOC IT position for a wireless company. So, assuming he is hired, he will be monitoring servers across the country for outages and working to fix the issues remotely. Yeah, IT well above what I can do or really explain.

I also have my fingers crossed that your hubby will get the job. Then you guys can work on getting the house ready to be flipped. Your husband has a lot more to offer than some kid fresh out of school with a masters degree. He has real world experience. I think that so many years on the job is equal to a bachelors degree right? If they liked him on the phone, I think he has a good chance at being hired. He must have impressed them with his technical knowledge. Just keep hope alive and things will get better. Hugs!

Hubby has two problems with keeping a job... and none or it pertains to his abilities to do his job, which he is quite good at with over 15 years experience.

He is a BIG guy standing 6'6" and he is the absolute definition of a tech gorilla! Add that to his being out of shape and carring extra weight and the combination is not of the big teddy bear he is, but of one heck of a scary guy who towers over everyone. He honestly scares people when he stands up to shake hands!

Then we have his other issue... he has what we have all come to call an excess of personality. You know that person who has to talk with everyone? The guy who says hello to everyone he passes? Has a joke for anyone who looks like they might be having a bad day? That is hubby. He LIKES the company of people. He likes making people smile and laugh. He likes telling silly jokes and he could care less of anyone's paygrade.

People either love him or hate him, within minutes of meeting him.

Yup, only my hubby would get fired for saying "good morning" to people before on the clock!!

He has a great set of skills and a work ethic that does not care about the clock. If has needs to stay late to make the customer happy and does not get paid for it, he is fine with that.

Can you tell that after 25+ years I am still smitten??? lol

You just described your husband like a pro-wrestler lol. Is he towering like the undertaker, or like the big show? I admire his worth ethic. It's a shame that he can't channel his energy into starting his own company. He seems like the type of guy who could go far if he had his own company. I am the same type of worker, but not as friendly. I like to get down to business at work and I hate incompetence. I can't stand when people make mistakes. I'm a type A personality when I am feeling well enough to be on these days. On my higher pain days, I tend to leave the OCD and type A personalities to fend for themselves. Any how, I still have my fingers crossed.
