Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

Hey,
I wanted to introduce myself since I'm new to the chronic pain forum. I've suffered from chronic pelvic pain issues for about 3 years now. I've seen more doctors then I can count, and had multiple surgeries. My official diagnosis is chronic pelvic pain and endometriosis. Back this past Nov I had a presacral neurectomy which is where they cut the nerve thats to my uterus in an attempt to stop pain.
It worked to a point, but I'm still experiencing a lot of pain. I'm 22 years old and wish II could live a "normal" life, which I know is not possible. I take percocet to try to manage the pain. Some days I'll be pain free, some days its the worst. It all just depends.
I'm just at this point right now where I'm incredibly frustrated because I know there isn't much more that can be done for me. I really am in need of support from others that are going through the same thing like me. I just need someone other then a doctor or my loving husband to relate to. Thanks :)

Can you identify these rom-coms from just a screenshot from the middle of the films? This is a multiple choice quiz so even if you're not entirely sure you can always take a guess and at least have a 25% chance of getting it right anyway, so why not have a go?! https://www.buzzfeed.com/alysaurus688/rom-com-screenshot-trivia-quiz

This is a great group. I found it last year. I have osteoarthritis in my knees and am currently waiting for a cartilage tissue transplant. I know the 24/7 pain...it really stinks. I hope you can find the support here that I've been fortunate to find myself. I can sympathize being young and in chronic pain...I'll be 34 in a couple weeks but have been dealing with CP since my 20's.
Welcome again! If you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask or vent...or whatever you need...if I can help, I will!

This is a great support group. Sorry you need us, but glad you found us! It's a great place share about how pain impacts our lives and get support and ideas for moving forward. I hope you find the friendship and support you're seeking.
I particularly wanted to shout out as a fellow young person with chronic pain. My name's Megan, I'm 21, and I've suffered from autoimmune arthritis since I was 14. I think there are a lot of unique issues that surround being in pain during what's supposed to be the "prime years of your life" so it's always great to see younger members around!
Wishing you the best,
Megan

Redjeaddiva & MeganElaine - It's great (okay that sounds awful haha) to hear from someone close to my age dealing with chronic pain. :)
I'll be posting in this group a lot thats for sure. :)
Welcome to the CP Board. I've dealt with severe Endo pain for 8 years after my youngest son was born and then had a Complete Hysterectomy and 2 Sub-sequential Bladder reconstruction surgeries. You'll find several folks here that have to deal with Endo and it's grip on their daily lives. Hopefully you'll find the support you need among amongst us.
Take care,
Kat
Usually every morning someone will start a morning virtual breakfast thread. You can share what you have planned for the day, how you slept or didn't sleep and to share how your pain is doing. Much like the morning one there is a evening check in where you are able to share how your day went. Right now it's been a little slow on the board so the morning & evening check in's have been speratic (sp?). Feel free to start one you can look back through the posts & you'll see how people do them. Don't be shy just jump right in. We are all here to support you. Remember you are not alone. There is almost always on 24/7. I hope your weekend brings low pain and moments that make your heart smile!
Hugs & God Bless
Lisa
Take care
