When I first started taking it I felt out of it . Tired .Just like I was only going through the motions but I was there . My doctor takes it too and said it like a smooth glass of wine . Lol
My side effect went away within the first week . I know it say weight gain but I never did . In fact I'm smaller now the when I started . Give it a week for side effects and see if they are lessening . It's a wonderful drug for pain . I also that Lyrica which I was on a few years before the cymbalta .
Lyrica was my miracle drug for pain . That and Tramadol really controlled it . The cymbalta was added many years later because my other meds weren't totally doing the trick any more .
Give it a chances . It's like any med it works for some and not others .
Best of luck .
The first few weeks I felt tired too but that goes away. I take mine in the morning because everything messes with my sleep as well. What dose are you on? When I went up to 120 mg I experienced an upset stomach a bit at first but that went away as well. It started to work while I was still feeling tired, full effects a few weeks later.
