Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. I sent you a friend request this morning. Look to the left of this page, under "profile". Click on "friends" and when the page pops up, you'll see "you've received a friend request" or something like that. Click on accept, and you've got a friend.
Being friends with someone means you can access their profiles if theirs is private, among other things which escape my mind at the moment!
But, we're all friends with each other as soon as you join, so don't sweat it.
Any other questions, ask away!
Hugs, Theresa
Really sometimes it has nothing to do with where you meet & the good thing about online groups like this is we are all somewhat in the same boat.
Its amazing how your self esteem can take a hit. After all living a life like this can cut your off from so many & its hard to find common ground with others who just dont understand.
I'm glad your here & think you'll make some wonderful friends.
Give it some time to get to know others & know your in a place that we can relate.
God bless & the very best of luck to you. Sammy
