Did they tape your ribs? I have heard of that.
Gentle hugs-RJ
Broken ribs, pain from falls, car accidents, falls on ice, surgery even cold and fllu and chronic illnesses that include painful flares is ACUTE.
These improve over time. Mental attitude can shorten (althogh iv never experienced sych)
But overall it gradually improves. Focus on acute pain worsens tge experience hich is why some many ignorantly suggest that chonic oain he dealt with psitve attitudes.
CHRONIC pain must be faced every day for some every second of every minute of every mili second wiithout hoe of improvement. It can just get worse even.
Lumping acute with chronic worsens the big picture for CP.
Get some recording device paper word document anything and write down all your pain right now
Then put them in chronic and acute
Once you can SEE ON PAPER those that improve with time you can notice those without getting overwhelmed.
After the moron totalled my car, I had to do this because nearly every muscle and bone was damaged. Writing out the part that was acute changed my focus from I want to die back to use the skills I learned to reduc e the chronic and take back my control
Sorry about your fall. What kind of dog do you have? Is he a big dog? Please be careful. Don't want to see you fall again. And wow at you choking on a jaw breaker. I never liked those as a kid and still don't now. And my mom always use to tell my sister she could choke on them and I guess she was right huh? Your living proof. I'm so glad your dad was there to save you. But it sucks your ribs got broke it the process of doing that. But broken ribs compared to you still being with us is worth it anyday right?? I sure think so. I'm sure it's very painful. But like Kayla said maybe you could switch back n forth between the heat and ice to help make it feel better. I hope you get some relief.
Feel better,
Paula
Hugs & God Bless
