Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
So sorry you feel so alone and in pain. In essence your pain is not or cannot be controlled? Do you have anyone in your life you can share this with?
I wish I could encourage you but I don't know how except to say you are an important part of this group and we all care about you.
Please remember tomorrow is another day. Please know I am here to listen.
Hugs and Love,
Joanne
I am throwing you a rope to hang on to. The sun will be out soon and it will be a better day. I left some chocolate in the hole next to my recliner if you need some to perk you up.
I know it seems easier to give up than to fight through this pain, but we both know that it is not.
I have to admit, I think about it everyday, and talk myself out of it everyday. I am glad this site has a crisis line. I have not used it, but I know it is there if I need it. It helps me to know, that if I get really serious about those thoughts that I can call and talk to someone first. Somewhere there is comfort in that for me.
You are very important to our DS family, please grab my rope and hang on. This too shall pass. Call your doctor in the a.m. if the pain is still so high and tell them you need help. It is not O.K. to let the pain stay high all the time.
Sending you lots of hugs and positive energy to get through this stressful moment in time. We care and we love, we are family. Hugs-RJ
Please don't give up sweetheart!! There are so many here that care deeply about you. I know you are in pain and your doctor needs to know how you are feeling so that proper adjustments can be made to get you more comfortable. In the meantime; I am throwing you a net, hoisting you up, and wrapping my arms around you. Grab my hand and we will pray together hun. Our family is here in your time of need.
Dear Jesus,
I ask that you comfort Tabby tonight in her time of need. Lord Jesus, the pain is immense and only you can reach down and remove it from her right this very moment. You know her innermost feelings and thoughts. I claim that you will hold her and let her know she is not alone in this battle. In your name I ask this prayer Father--amen.
thinking of all the people you care about- how unbearable their pain would be if they lost you and never wanting to put them through that, that there will be times in the future when they will need your support and you will want to be there for them... and especially knowing that if you stay alive, no matter how overwhelming and pointless it may seem right now, in the future you will have a family of your own, and you will want to create and love your children and grandchildren. i know that not only will they bring you a joy greater than you can imagine, they will do a great deal of good and they will make a difference.
know that you will emerge from this pain and despair eventually, stronger for the experience, and you will be able to use what you learn from this time to make this world better and help people.
you have already touched so many lives, including mine and so many here. if you left, you would leave a huge hole in all of our hearts. you are irreplaceable, you are special, you are unique, and you are here for a reason. that reason may be unclear right now, but i promise you it exists, and you deserve to know and fulfill your purpose in this world.
i wish so much that you never had and never would be in pain, but when you feel better, and in time without question you absolutely will, you will be in a unique position to help others going through what you have survived. you already do help others- i know you have helped me- and you have so, so much love and caring left to give. please dont deprive yourself of the opportunity to give that love and the opportunity to receive that love from all those you help, your friends, and your family (including not just your current family but the family you will create in the future).
you are not done here yet, not even close! years from now you will think back to this dark time and how although you were once convinced things would never get better, they did. you will look around you, and you will feel incredibly grateful for the gifts you have given this world and the gifts that have been given to you.
i am so glad that you wrote this post. it took courage, and it is really significant- it means that somewhere inside of you there is active determination and will to perservere; that you may feel like giving up but you are not completely lost and in the place of following through on that. you do have hope and the knowledge that one day you will feel better inside of you, because you would not be reaching out for support if you didnt. let's get you all the support possible. first of all, every single one of us is behind you. please, please keep writing about what you are going through so we can be here for you and so we know how you are. the suicide prevention lifeline has people you can talk to whenever you need. here is their info:

if you ever feel you are in immediate danger, please do not hesitate to call 911. keeping people safe is why that number exists, and honey, we all not only want but need for you to keep existing. sending you all the support in the world and the biggest hugs ever, and please, please keep checking in so we know you're ok.
Thank God for all of your difficulties. It's only through them that you will find out just how strong you are!!!
Have you ever lifted weights in a gym? As you lift weights, your muscles are put under extreme pressure. You wake up feeling sore and the muscles have to heal...but after a few days you're stronger and your muscles and flesh start to take shape.
Such is life...we stretch and get strained under intense pressure every other day but after a few days of healing...WE ARE STRONGER AND WISER.
That which does not kill you makes you STRONGER!
I say bring on the weight! It's never what happens in life...it's the way you respond to it!!!!!
Back when I could still travel the distance, my pain management dr.
was up there and also had a support group for CP going. I don't know if I can mention his name here or not without breaking any of DS's rules.
I also don't know if he's even still around, it's been about 5 yrs. since
I was his patient.
You really need all the support you can get right now. I feel sure
the stress is magnifying your pain immensely:(:(
I'm ever so sorry about your uncle:(:( I hope you are able to make the most of the time you still have with him.
I lost 5 friends within 6 mos. of each other last fall, and that was bad enough, at least they weren't "family" in the strictest sense.
