Chronic myelogenous leukemia affecst the balance of blood cells in the body, disrupting the normal balance. The cancer cells eventually begin to outnumber and push out the good cells, and could lead to anemia and easier bleeding/bruising. If you or a loved one is diagnosed with CML, this is the community to discuss your experience.
I was dx with CML in June and went through a period of time on 100mg of Sprycel, which I stopped because of edema. Eventually I went back on Sprycel (70mg) and everything was going well for 2 1/2 months until a week ago when the blood counts started dropping again. They had appeared to be stabilizing for several weeks.
I know Sprycel can reduce the blood counts, which it did initially, but after they appear to be stabilized is it unusual for the counts to start dropping again? Has anyone on the board experienced similar drops after their counts had appeared stabilized? Any info will be appreciated.

I have been on Sprycel for 2 months now, and my blood results are showing that everything is coming down more than on Gleevec and Tasigna, but the hospital seem "ok" at the moment with these results.
If you are concerned, always ask your medical team who (I have found) are always accommodating to giving you help and advice.
