Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) Support Group
Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (or "chronic lymphoid leukemia") CLL, is a cancer in which too many lymphocytes (a type of white blood cells) are produced. CLL is the most-diagnosed form of leukemia in adults. Men are twice as likely to develop CLL as women, however the key risk factor is age: over 75% of new cases are diagnosed in patients over age 50.
As I said in a previous post, there are days where I just can't read one more article or look at one more set of numbers. But then I do go back online and read some more. One of the sites I go to is clltopics.org. That was a site I began looking at shortly after I was diagnosed and one that I continue to go back to time and time again.
My first question is, what other sites do you go to that you think are helpful? Have you joined other support group sites (like this one) that you
would recommend?
My second question is what do you do to "relax" before your appointment with your oncologist? My next appointment is coming up in February and I can already feel myself getting nervous about it.

My hope is that all will remain OK and that I won't require treatment for a very long time, better yet, not ever!! I wish that for all of us who are living with this.
this is a site that lists frequently asked questions about CLL- it is written in understandable language, and also has a very extensive list of links for more information-
I have also found the site on CLL on MD Andersons web site helpful. Medifocus is another site that was helpful, although they do try to hawk their books. I'd list more, but I think we all have a tendency to overwhelm ourselves with information that may never pertain to us so I will only send a few- Please reach out if you need more. Do the research in moderation is the best advice I received that I didn't follow! good luck

I have looked at the MD Anderson site and I will take a look at the other sites.
It is easy to overwhelm ourselves with information. There is so much out there. However, I do try to make sure that what I read is recent material.
