You are not alone in this. Many of us on here are dealing with many of the same feelings. One thing that has me frustrated is that I regularly encounter people who seem to think that "I'm not really THAT sick." Others, meaning well, often say to me, "Well, you LOOK GREAT." Problem is, I DON'T FEEL great. I'm dealing with symptoms of the disease that have become part of the landscape of my life. In addition, I'm just over two years removed from my diagnosis, and still deal with the fear. Granted, it is not quite as bad as the day I got the news, but I still have problems dealing with it. Do your best to remain strong. Again, you are NOT alone! We are here if you need us!

I'm sure we were all afraid when we got the diagnosis. I was very frightened for months. I think you should talk to your doctor and try to find out a bit more about where you stand and what the future might hold. The internet will scare the bejesus out of you, you should get the straight facts and hopefully your doctor will be able to help you. The majority of us will live a normal life span, so I understand, and they are working on new ways to treat it too, for those that need help. I was at my hematologist this past week, eight years after my initial diagnosis, and am still holding at stage zero. We agreed something else was more likely to kill me when the time comes, so take care of that diabetes.

Those of you that are stage zero are extremely lucky, my hubby's mom had this for maybe 15 or 20 yrs. before any treatment was needed, yet our family MD failed to dianise him until he was Stage IV and had tumors in lymph glands above & below the waist and enlaged spleen, terrible blood counts. Started chemo 2 weeks from the day we first were seen then referred to a specialust for more testing.After only a 2 year remission he now has tumors in his abdomen, lungs, spleen, and neck armpits, groin, all the other lymph glands. Will be on Imbruvica indefinitely as long as his liver and kidneys can tolerate it to keep the tumors at bay. This has caused horrible problems with his feet and nearly ked to an amputation of a toe. Some scary stuff! Does anyone know what life expectancy is for 2nd occurances? This cliae together?I know pneumonia or some other infection will probably be the culprit.

73 here. Diagnosed 8 yrs ago. I can understand your concern. I have avoided chemo up till now but white count now 234k. It's grest to be part of a group that understands what you are going through. Keep a positive attitude; that's half the battle. Try the website eatright2fightcancer, lots of good dietary info.

I am an 80 yr old female in V.G. health & was diagnosed 6 months ago. Was told I have had CLL for 3 yrs but my Dr. never paid atten. to my high white blood count. Oncologist checked my records & confirmed the 3 years. I have what I refer to as bumps (itchy pimple like) that appear 90% on my neck, the rest on my head & a few small one on face. Treating it with mometasone furoate cream which helps with the itch & keeps them down. They have been appearing for the past 3 years . Does anyone else get these? So far this seems to be the only symptom. Just got put on Dupixent last week to help with the bumps. It remains to be seen. Worried about future.

I have just been diagnosed, and the bumps are one of the things that I really notice. I go to the doctor next week and I am going to ask him for something for them. I seem to really itch all over.
