I wanted to post something positive. I was a bridesmaid at my little brother's wedding yesterday. It's been a big stress for me wondering if I would get through the day. I am happy to report, I did AND lasted until 11:30pm. Don't get me wrong, it was extremely tiring and I am feeling rough today but it was definitely worth it. I prayed to God that I would have enough energy for the day and I also rested for a good 2 weeks prior.

It was a really fun and beautiful wedding, the weather was perfect. It was great to see relatives and people I haven't seen in ages. I was feeling sad about my life and how I'm stuck and can't progress but I was able to find happiness and love for him and his beautiful wife. It was nice to see a couple in love and gives me hope for my future that I will one day, be healed and also meet the love of my life!! I pray for that every day!!

Hi, PaulaLB. I am so glad for you. Thanks for sharing that. It's great that you were able to do so well for one day. I know you must have been tired, but I'm sure your brother appreciated you giving it your all to be with him on his special day. Healing is possible. We always hold out that hope. Miracles happen. So happy for you to be able to share and enjoy the day with your brother and his bride. My daughter recently got married and I rested and stored energy and made it til about 11:30 as well :) I think sometimes the adrenaline keeps us going. I am hoping that you are able to rest up and bounce back without too much of a crash. It is wonderful to hear stories like this and to know that there are good days for us all as well.

Isn't it amazing how much we appreciate and LOVE the everyday things that able-bodied people just take for granted!! I can remember a time when going to a wedding OR being in one, was just another just day/night out. NOW, if I could even attend a wedding, never mind being IN one, I'd be as happy as clam!!

I'm so glad you shared this wonderful experience. I know you will be basking in the glow of spending a "normal" day out, because to you, it was oh SO much more than that.

Thank you everyone for all your replies. I'm almost out of my crash, it's taking longer then I thought. I also had a rough week emotionally thinking about just how limiting our lives really are. But we gotta keep on persevering and not give up!! Who knows what our future holds. Love and healing to you all!! xo
