Good luck....
I am so glad you can sleep. I have the opposite problem. I either can't fall asleep, can't stay asleep through the night, and/or can't fall back to sleep if I wake in the middle of the night.
But not at first, it takes time to get used to it.
Exercise may not be possible for some of us, I'm aware of that. But people with ME/CFS do exercise in limited ways.
here are a few things that helped me--first, I had a sleep study. I found out that despite my lack of snoring, I do have sleep apnea. Getting the cpap has helped me to sleep longer. Before that I was waking up every two hours or so and not usually getting back to sleep for a few hours after that. It's worth investigating and I'm sure your doc would be glad to refer you.
second, try meditation instead of tv. Watching tv, even in bed, isn't very restful I'm told. (It's my preferred way of resting, too, unfortunately.) It keeps the mind moving too much. Try some soothing music and closing your eyes instead. Even if you don't actually sleep, turning off the tv can help the rest be a bit more refreshing.
I've also taken a B-complex vitamin that includes B12. That helped me for awhile as well.
Hope these help!
