I started taking a rhodiola supplement about 6 weeks ago, and added in ubiquinol about 4 weeks ago. I've actually notice a bit of an improvement in my fatigue level since starting them. I noticed the change most after I added in the ubiquinol, but I don't know if it's just that one, or if they're working together. They each also have a TON of positive health benefits, including helping with stress and anxiety which are probably problems for all of us who suffer from fatigue.
I noticed the best improvement about 3-4 weeks ago, and it's tapered off a little bit since, but I'm still not, on a whole, quite as tired as I was before. It doesn't make everything magically all better, but it definitely has helped, and I also do think it's helping me cope with the emotional strain of being constantly ill also.
Obviously, everyone is different, so they may not be as helpful for others as I found them to be, but it's certainly worth trying. The rhodiola especially has lots of scientific data backing it's effectiveness... apparently the KGB gave it to it's agents to help them deal with the physical and mental strain of their tasks. Who knew!
I am taking 300 mgs of New Chapter rhodiola once a day (and they do say to take it in the morning) and 100 mgs of Nutraceutical Science Institute ubiquinol once a day, also in the morning. I haven't experimented any with increasing the dose of either and seeing if it helps *more* with fatigue... I've just been spending the last few weeks charting my fatigue levels until I really did believe that they truly have been helping me.

You can get this at any vitamin/supplement store, I think Trader Joe's carries it. And online at places like drugstore.com, swanson.com (though I would want to know if Swanson was using GMO ingredients, they being of the Swanson Broth and other foods company, vitaminshoppe.com, etc.
I think I got both of mine at Vitacost.com. Either way, they're both OTC, easily available and not too expensive. If you go to Vitacost and type in the brand names and supplement names I mentioned, that should bring them up. Good luck, and I hope they help you!
