Hi everybody,
I had Parvo Virus back in 2004, barely a blip on my radar with mild symptoms. Dr. said it would go away on it's own, it did, no problem. CFS hits me in 2008. These last few weeks my symptoms have been very different than usual, very reminiscent of the Parvo sypmtoms but more intense. I believe I'm experiencing a reactivation of the Parvo Virus. Had a blood draw last week and will see my Rheumie later this week armed with my research and 2004 lab reports.
Question: Anyone else have any experience with Parvo Virus? I've done a little research these last couple of weeks and the Parvo sounds like it's a much bigger deal than I was led to believe. I read that Parvo can induce an auto-immune response but not much information is given other than that statement.
Would love to here from anyone on this.

It took about 18 months for my body to stop making active antibodies against the virus. Apparently, I was one of the 3% of adults that this virus hits like a locomotive engine!
I was a completely healthy person before this virus came along. There's no family history of CF or fibro even with cousins.
The other one I've heard is that many of us have had the active form of Epstein Barr virus which is mononeucleosis. I had mono when I was 15 and wonder if it had something to do with the parvovirus taking me down so hard later in life.
It's all a crap sandwich, isn't it? Lol!
