Palpitations when lying down.

I have POTS and my heart palpitations are normal for me when upright, but I have them perminently now. Worsened ny any exertion or incline still, but lying down doesn't relieve them like it used to. Any one else with palpitations whilst lying down?

I have palpitations in any position! Often after any kind of exertion, sometimes they come when I'm at complete rest! I've never been diagnosed with POTS, but know what it is and am sure I have it.

I often feel them while lying on my stomach trying to fall asleep. So yes, I definitely feel them when lying down. They are scary and uncomfortable but usually harmless. Be sure your doctor knows of any changes in rhythms of your heart!

Yes, I have POTS as well. I think I notice the palpitations when I am lying down because I am not busy doing other things. Lying there, I can feel the palpitations strongly. I'm sorry for you, Corey. I know how you feel. I don't like it either. It bothers me. Much love.

I'm sorry your heart palpitations happen now even when lying down. I'm really surprised that the doctor doesn't have some remedy for this. Does he say that you just have to put up with it? Have you looked it up online? I would think the doctors would be more concerned with it and hard to imagine there is no remedy. Maybe the best you can do is just try to relax as much as possible. You could ask your doctor if he would recommend an anti-anxiety med at bedtime. Otherwise it must be difficult to sleep. I take Melatonin at bedtime occasionally but I don't know if that would work for you as we are all so very different. Your situation is so complex too with the Potts added in. I hope that you don't live alone and that you have someone you can rely on to help you. Please know that we care about you. I feel worried about you and I just said a prayer for you. POTS is complex. Doctors have tried to give me meds like Midodrine or Beta-blockers, but the meds always gave me terrible side effects. They did make my pulse rate drop by about 20 bpm, but it wasn't worth it to me to have such bad side effects.
