I have palpitations in any position! Often after any kind of exertion, sometimes they come when I'm at complete rest! I've never been diagnosed with POTS, but know what it is and am sure I have it.
I often feel them while lying on my stomach trying to fall asleep. So yes, I definitely feel them when lying down. They are scary and uncomfortable but usually harmless. Be sure your doctor knows of any changes in rhythms of your heart!
