Jennifer Brea has CFS and is a wonderful spokesperson for all of us.
"28 year-old Jennifer Brea is working on her PhD at Harvard and soon to be engaged to the love of her life when she gets a mysterious fever that leaves her bedridden and looking for answers. Disbelieved by doctors and determined to live, she turns her camera on herself and her community, a hidden world of millions confined to their homes and bedrooms by ME, or chronic fatigue syndrome." She did a TED talk a few years ago, 17 minutes & easy to listen to
Now she has just released a movie done w her husband on this invisible disease. It is titled "Unrest", released in a few theaters on Sept 22, and has received wonderful reviews. https://www.facebook.com/unrestfilm/
For those of us who cannot get to a theater, there on tickets available for online viewing. http://www.ifccenter.com/films/unrest/
I am going to see it online on Sept 30.
I have not been on here for quite some time. Looking over the posts, I see some familiar names and that feels comforting. I would like to wish that everyone have decent and painfree holidays (although most of the Xmas day may be over) Some may have celebrated Chanukah or Kwansa. And there is still New Years. Peace and love to everyone.
