Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Support Group
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) describes a sense of exhaustion and post-exertion malaise, even when you have gotten enough rest and sleep. The disease is characterized by six months of incapacitating fatigue experienced as profound exhaustion and extremely poor stamina, and problems with concentration and short-term memory. The cause is unknown, but it is a...
It's dangerous to really overhydrate but with the right electrolytes in their you shouldn't need gallons.
After getting yr water right...something with magnesium might help, like non-sugary cocoa.
Might be the fat burning from the weight loss is kicking off a big detox hence the nausea and headache.
If all that fails then keep pushing the doctors to investigate.
"Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever."
-Lance Armstrong
I hope everything turns out well for you!
First of all, I'm so sorry you are dealing with this!
Have you seen a Neurologist? That would be the guy who would test the brain and nerves involved in any migraine situation. If there is no pregnancy, and you are dehydrated and no one is giving you answers....it would seem that migraine may be the cause of something.....a symptom of something else. Do you see what I mean? You truly need a thorough workup to find the cause, before you're going to get proper help. Doing what has been suggested so far, isn't working. That tells me, there is some other causation factor that is being missed.
I would see about a Neurologist!
Again, welcome! I do hope that you are able to get some answers very soon. I would be at the end of my rope as well. Pain, is pain....and you've been suffering with no answers for too long!
We are here to support you! xo
I'd see a neurologist as well. Bear in mind that if you try to get just an appt it may take literally months. The fastest way is to go to the ER and they give you a referral to a neuro and you get in faster. Stinks but true if you aren't already an established patient.
Also might want to consider orthopedics. You could have a pinched nerve or spinal stenosis. The fact that it hurts more at night makes me think this could be likely. Try sleeping in a recliner or laying sitting up and see if it helps, perhaps with a warm (not hot) pack on your neck to soothe any tight muscles and relax your spine a bit.
I get migraines and there are so many triggers.
Light, food, stress, chemicals in food like artificial sweeteners (worst one ever was from cocoa with stevia).
If you've started eating anything new, check the package. They hide artificial sweeteners in the dangest places. Avoid msg like the plague.
My best migraine relief is plain old excedrin with a made with sugar type 12 oz bottle of pepsi. Ginger ale is good too for the nausea. Canada dry has real ginger but you can add a shake of ground ginger to the cheap stuff if that is what you have.
Hope you feel better and this is an isolated experience for you!
I bought one for my office years ago and it did go off. The landlord told me to live with it, so I had to move out of that building. It was coming from an automotive shop that was violating the rules by running engines indoors.
About the nausea...the doctors stopped prescribing the standard remedy years ago when it went generic. The substitute the drug companies are pushing does not work. Get the original remedy...prochlorperazine...and it will work. Doctors know it as Compazine, but it's no longer sold under that name. The drug stores have it, but hospital pharmacies don't carry it anymore.
The only reason the drug companies are pushing the new remedy for nausea is that they make more money off it. I guess the fact that it doesn't work is irrelevant.
I use ginger and capsaicin for my migraines. They usually work. Raw onion can help too, in moderation. The capsaicin is in the form of red chili peppers...you can deseed them, mince them, and use them as seasoning in a dish like you would black pepper. No guarantees, but these basic remedies might work. Chilis have been used medicinally for thousands of years.
Wash your hands with strong soap after handling them...if you rub your eyes with hot pepper on your fingers you will have an unpleasant time of it...but the effect is harmless and temporary. Don't touch any sensitive skin after handling chilis or wear kitchen gloves. Don't cut corners by trying to use sweet peppers medicinally, they do absolutely nothing.
I have not had an MRI or CT scan. If this continues any longer I will definitely go back to the hospital and practically demand one if they don't automatically offer one. I figured with my first trip they would automatically do these, but I was told they normally don't do them without a specialists request because insurance normally doesn't cover it and it can get expensive. I thought it was Bologna, but what do I know?...
I live in the Deep South lol! In fact it's 75* in my home and I have the windows open and have kept them open through the night as well. I do have a Carbon Monoxide detector that is working.
I have been to my chiropractor which directly after the adjustment I felt wonderful but that night I began feeling just as bad if not worse than before. I've thought about possibly doing acupuncture, but my insurance likely doesn't cover it and I can't afford that since I am unemployed.
I've had extensive blood work done and all levels are normal except hormones which have never been normal for me and also I had some bloodwork done showing that I do have some inflammation going on which is possibly causing my joint pains which I figure is not related since I've had joint issues since I was a toddler.
As far as migraines or even headaches, I've never had them in the past so that's one thing that seriously scares the dickens out of me. I don't want it to be something crazy like a tumor or the C word.
As far as onion or peppers are concerned it is a wonderful suggestion and I appreciate the thought, but the smell of them even on a normal day makes me nauseated so eating them would be torturous for me unfortunately.
I can not think of any environmental changes or food changes since I am pretty much as close to being a hermit as you can be without being one (at least in my eyes). My friend and God kids that I see maybe once a month if that often now probably would beg to differ. The food choices that my husband and I get don't really vary that much. I have been cooking at home A LOT more lately instead of eating out so much, but if anything I would think that would help more than hurt. Who knows... Not I.
One thing that I do keep forgetting about is that I took 2 medicines for anxiety that I was only taking for 1 month and then quit taking both at the same time. However before I started these meds I was not taking anything for my anxiety and I figured if it was because of quitting those meds surely the migraine and nausea would be gone by now, but not yet. Sigh...
I will definitely keep you guys posted. I hope to figure something out soon.

I did it all day long when I first discovered this earlier this year; I immediately felt a calmness in my should and neck area. In the days ahead I began to even sleep better, I no longer get migraines because I practice the deep breathing. I've had migraines All my life and no longer get them so this may work for you. If not, I hope you find a remedy. To get rid of nauseous, drink Ginger tea or simply sip on soda or some fruit juice these are what I used prior to the breathing exercises.
