It looks like I am going to lose a molar (given that I never used the limited energy I had to go to the dentist). If I lose it they will replace it with something that contains some metal. I have read stories of people with cfs having problems with metal toxicity and dental work. I am very apprehensive about putting metal in m my mouth if that is going to cause problems with my cfs. The question I have is whether this is true and if I am better off doing nothing after removing the molar, That is, living without the molar with an empty space there I am already missing one molar in the other side of my mouth. Thanks for your help.

My dentist doesn't use the metal fillings anymore. I would ask the dentist if it's the kind with mercury and if it is ask him if has the kind that looks like tooth material sorry don't know the technical terms. If it is the kind with mercury just tell you don't feel comfortable about those kind. I have had bad teeth all my life when I was a kid I had a mouth full filling the kind with mercury and had a lot of metal caps on my back teeth, well I had been having lots of problems with migraines and read about these type of fillings maybe being the cause. I had all of them removed, before to long I developed chronic fatigue. This was about 7 years ago I went this year to have a lot of different testing one of the things I asked for was mercury levels. It came back in the normal range. I don't know if that is what set off my chronic fatigue but it could be a coincidence.

I understand little about these things. But from what i have heard if they put a new fake molar in me that is going to have some metal in it, not mercury but part of the structure is metal. I worry that any kind of metal in my mouth would make my cfs worse. Should I just do without a molar? This would be my second molar missing. I am 51.

You don't want anymore metal in your mouth, Gabriel. Find a dentist thatl uses Amalgam fillings. The most dangerous thing you can do is try to have metal fillings removed from your mouth!! If this procedure is not done properly, the metal can end up out of your tooth and into your blood stream, THEN you have problems.

Please don't worry about missing one more tooth. You have plenty more!!!! Find a dentist that will NOT put more metal in your mouth. They've been using Amalgam fillings for a very long time now.

No metal removal!!! Let the tooth go or find a dentist who gets it that you are trying to rid your body of heavy metals. Not add to them.

I'll be 50 in a few weeks. Had to make this decision two years ago, I had it pulled & let it heal naturally. Now I have 1 missing on each side. I finally feel balanced again. LOL

Gabriel! I confused the issue with my brainfogged response to your question. You don't want the Amalgam fillings. Here is a link to the resin and other types of fillings that do NOT include mercury or mercury vapor.
