No harm it trying and seeing what it does for you
The only problem I have found with too much magnesium is...um....a need to visit the toilet more often! Common side effect!! Some people can't take Magnesium at all because the bowel problem is such a big one. Other's do well. Try to start out with low doses and work you way up.
I'm one of those who always checks with my doctor as to dosage. I don't try to figure everything out myself. Too much of things can be more dangerous than not enough.
Please check with your doctor and maybe a blood draw to see if you are low on Magnesium!

My doctor suggested I take it early on. I saw on another
website that people react differently to different kinds. I take
the malate. That seems to work. I also take calcium but
have to take it later so it doesn't interfere with my thyroid
medication in the morning.
