Hi Everyone,
I haven't posted in quite some time, however I wanted to share this news I received on Fri. I have tested positive for Lyme Disease. I am now wondering if I was misdiagnosed with CFS and have had Lyme all this time. I'm not sure if you can have both. My naturopath requested I get tested for Lyme, he does it through IgeneX Inc. I did the IgG and IgM Western Blot and my IgM came back positive. I am going to see an infectious disease doctor the end of June and my naturopath is going to start his Lyme treatment around the same time.
I know Lyme can be difficult to diagnose but the doctor at IgeneX said that he is 96% confident that I have Lyme. I don't recall being bitten by a tick nor did I have a rash, so I was very surprised when I found out. I wanted to let you all know in case you are in the same situation as me. It may be worth getting tested, the cost is $300. I will keep you posted as I learn more.

I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue in 2000 and with lyne in
about 2005. Sometimes it's hard to tell which symptoms may
be which. Chronic lyme is treatable but I would like to say it's not
always real easy to treat. I'm doing much better. Everyone
responds differently. It's a good idea to work with a lyme literate
doctor. There's a website where they're listed. Not all doctor's are
knowledgeable about it or how to treat it. I'm sure you'll do fine
but finding a good person to work with is a big piece of the
puzzle. good wishes to you.
