I have had CFS for almost 29 years now. It started with Mono when I was ten years old. For many years I had no idea what was wrong with me, and it was only through self-diagnosis about twelve years ago that I figured out it was CFS and then a few years later realized I probably had fibromyalgia too since I have a huge amount of pain and so many other symptoms that go along with fibromyalgia.
I've actually never had a formal diagnosis of CFS or fibromyalgia and there's a lot of reasons for that, but I have been researching this drug lately called Low Dose Naltrexone, and even though I've always preferred to treat this illness with natural medicine, this drug sounds really good, and I really want to try it.
So my question is, what is the easiest way, without going through a hundred tests, to get a diagnosis of CFS or fibromylgia because I know without a doubt that I have them, and I really just don't have the energy or the money to go through a lot of testing. I'm basically homebound and a lot bed bound and leaving the house takes a huge amount out of me, especially if do something stressful, and I'm sure trying to get a doctor to really listen to me will be stressful.
I've thought about just going the fibromyalgia route alone since it seems more doctors are willing to diagnose that than CFS.

And I'd love if this could help anyone else too. What sounds so good to me about this drug is that is helps the immune system, it's considered very safe and non-toxic with the only known side affects being vivid dreams and headaches and possibly some insomnia in the beginning, although many have had none of these side effects. And even natural alternative doctors like Dr. Mercola and others, are recommending this drug.
But one other thing that might be difficult, besides getting a diagnosis, is that this drug is not well know by doctors at all. It's not a money maker, it's a cheap drug to make, so there's not been much interest, despite the fact that this drug is showing promise for all kinds of illnesses, from cancer, to MS, HIV, and many others.
