Hi everybody. I thought maybe I'd post here because I know plenty of normal people in my life who don't understand CFS at all. It's lonely to be the only one you know who has this disease so I thought it might be good to go on this site and meet more people from around the world. So I'm Charlotte from Canada trying to get by one day at a time, anybody else out there?
This site used to be far more busy but some of us stuck it out and are dealing with the changes they made. Change is hard for CFSers.. Anyway, we "get" it, because we've "got" it...sigh - so ask away or kvetch or reach out when you need it. I went though my darkest days recently and the folks here were instrumental in keeping me going. Lots of love to go around! Welcome!
I'm not much on tv. I think I worry I could easily get addicted so I check in here, do a bit of housework and then mostly read or listen to music sitting quietly. Sometimes if it's nice I go out on the garden swing on the back porch with tea and wish a DS friend was there with me. On better brain days I do bills and take care of other household things. I am kind of odd in that I like to organize, it's like therapy for me. So I can always do that. If I am doing really well I can ask my daughter if I can come over as she's just 6 miles away.
