I wonder if you have been formally diagnosed with CFS? Please understand you are welcome here, it's just that there are other illnesses that have similar symptoms but for which there may be treatment help, like adrenal, thyroid, autoimmune, lyme, etc. We always encourage a complete work up because if you have something for which help is available no one wants you to presume you have CFS and not get the medical care you might be able to get and feel better!

So you're probably not in worse shape by lacking a diagnosis. I doubt if it would change much.
Don't expect a doctor or pharmacist to know about negative side effects. In my experience, they know almost nothing about the drugs they prescribe.
