In physical agony and need to vent. First I am not diagnosed with anything one way or the other. I have a bunch of tests taken at periodic changes in my health through my life that make me look amazingly healthy on paper.
I'm lowering seroquel I take for insomnia and it's a very strong antihistamine so when I started getting allergies again it wasn't a huge surprise. I did enjoy the years I didn't have to worry about a runny nose in the middle of martial arts class. Uniforms don't have pockets. When I initially broke out in tiny red dots that itched I worried I was getting bit by something. We finally decided to write them off as hives and they slowly got better. They would flare up a bit in heat like hot showers or to many blankets. I've only had an itchy spot on a knee or ankle for the past week but red, flat dots that did not itch persisted on my lower legs. Suddenly tonight I itch everywhere. There are raised dots all over my thighs and on my right side they have spread over my hip and my upper arm itches. Someone combine a vat of hydrocortisone with calamine and let me sit in it. I took benadryl and zyrtec when it first showed up and I'm not sure they helped but they did interfere with my insomnia meds so I haven't taken any for awhile.
Going to sit here with the window open so my skin stays cool and take a zyrtec. Luckily I finally got good sleep the past 2 days. Why do these things keep happening with no explanation? At least if I go to the doctor they can't claim "itchy red bumps everywhere" as psychological like they have everything else.

Could be hives but also could be scabies. We went through that here and the flat spots are a tell. Or some kind of poison ivy, or etc, etc....
Med will help no matter what it is....
I finally ran ice cold water over everywhere I could without turning into an ice cube. Instant itch relief even if the bumps didn't leave but it took a few hours to warm my feet back up. Then I applied a bag of ice to places I didn't get enough cold water. I was finally able to actually lay under a blanket. Today I have bumps that look broken open on the top but don't itch.
I really need to find a doctor. We moved here somewhat recently though and the only place taking new patients won't return our calls.

I tend to be too trusting of people...after a while I figured out that the dermatologist was a total incompetent. Never assume that just because someone has a medical degree that they know what they're doing...or that they're telling you the truth.
If you can, be persistent about the rash. There's an explanation for it I'm sure, you just have to find a doctor who knows what they're doing and wants to help you. There's a type of lupus that manifests as a skin rash like that. I'm not saying that's it, there are a great many illnesses that can produce skin rashes.
I think my rash is from a recurrence of the shingles I got years ago. It flares up from sun exposure, heat, and emotional stress...particularly from stress. That would be very typical of shingles...plus it's in the exact spot that was the focus of my original shingles attack. Chronic shingles is fairly common with diseases that weaken the immune system. It also aches sometimes...rashes that cause deep aches like that are not common...but shingles definitely does that.
I gave up trying to find competent medical care where I live...I don't have enough money to go from doctor to doctor. But I live in an area that's notorious for its bad doctors. I hope you do better where you live.
