Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Support Group
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) describes a sense of exhaustion and post-exertion malaise, even when you have gotten enough rest and sleep. Sleep as much as you can. Keep your friends close. You need them. If people don't understand that you have an illness, they have to go. You will find plenty of people who will respond to you with empathy and caring. Don't let the naysayers get you down. You are young, you are strong. We are supporting you. AND, you will learn as you go along with this illness, how much you can safely do and make it through a whole day....then maybe two days!!
You'll see! xo
Rest up Abby, and there will be good days again..
hope you feel better soon. Hugs
My doctor has me tested for Vit. D and B-12 Folate every year. I am not short on either, but if I listened to my friends and others with chronic illness, I'd be shoving 50,000 IU'S of Vit d. down my throat every day. That can be dangerous. VIt. D. does not get excreted from our body if we take excessive amounts, and can make us very sick.
I'm just recommending that before you start taking pills, such as supplements, please, please check and see, through blood work, if you are deficient. If you are not deficient, taking too much of anything can make you very ill.
Just lookin out for ya, my friend! xo
Don't be in a rush to hop on the vitamin bandwagon. Those ideas of curing chronic illness with vitamins are part of yesterday, not today. Cures for chronic illnesses are not that simplistic.
That's good advice about getting off the boom and bust cycle. Regular habits work best...not too much exertion and stress, not too little. You'll get the hang of it after a while.
