Im so sorry to vent .... yet again ... but it helps
Set the scene - back at work for three weeks now - this week i was asked to do some promotional things but i was able to remain seated almost all of the time. I got excellent feedback from the organisers with comments such as... you're definitely the right choice for this.... you've done a great job. I have been interviewed and completed the returning documents with the senior manager on the first day back. Today the line manager says there are things she needs to go over with me in relation to it ......
So she takes me into a private place to tell me that ...............
'Whilst you were off your colleagues had to cover your work and and meetings had to be cancelled'
(im not a manager btw just a mere 'food soldier')
I am SOOOOOO angry how dare they say such a thing to me...... I am ill was signed off certified by my doctor not out having fun. How dare they lay a guilt trip at my door and then expect me to smile and be positive.
I cannot believe this attitude ...... people have time off sick for so many reasons , are you seriously telling me that if someone was off as they had been in a car accident and had been in a coma this rubbish would be said to them

if i had been off with a hangover on a regular basis i could understand this attitude. Do they seriously think laying in bed too tired to move is a preferable option to going to work - its not a choice.
I have decided not to be cross and just pity the poor unfeeling ill informed person that she is ( ill informed despite the fact i have suggest countless times that she researches the condition)
Read a few things on line and have come to the calm conclusion that she is an ineffective people manager ta dah !
