I should of worded the discusion title better. I was hoping to hear back from others on this topic.

UPDATE: I'm feeling better. Starting to recover from the surgery. My CFS initially was worse with the surgery, but it is starting to relent.

As for your cysts, do you have other boils like under arms, groin, breasts? If so, check out the group for Hindradentis suppurativa.

My skin had become sensitive to pressure in the last 15 years. One was on the back of the neck from wearing ties and the other was on a buttock from carrying a billfold. I checked out Hindradentis suppurativa.

Fortunately I don't have the symptoms of Hindradentis suppurativa, but thanks for mentioning it.

I get 2 or 3 boils or cysts a year that have to be removed on an out patient basis. The current cyst behind my ear is quite large but they said there is no need to touch it for now. Plus I get yeast infections under my breasts. I don't think they have any affect on my CFS for good or worse but I do think that they are caused by my compromised immune system.

I've had to recover from minor surgeries and it just takes a lot longer with CFS. Our system gets really stressed going through all of the surgery plus anesthesia. Just give yourself time to recover. Be good to yourself, take it easy as you can, and if anyone can help you, accept the help. You'll recover, just takes about 3 times longer than an average person. One day at a time...find something easy to do to pass the time.

Thanks for the responses. My boils used to be a barometer for my CFS. They would be worse as my CFS was worse. I was so tired of them. I hope skinnybinny can find something to help with the boils. They are so annoying and can be very painful as they get ready to drain. At their worst for me it would feel like someone stabbed me with a knife when they started to drain. Thanks WhiteDolphin for your words of encouragement. The worst of it for me, I think my body doesn't like the stitches. I'm getting the last of them out today. Yeh!!

Every doc seems to treat boils in a different way. I had one doc that liked to squeeze, another went the antibiotic route, and the one I have now likes to cut. I prefer the antibiotic but some docs just won't give out antibiotics anymore.

Is there a home remedy for boils? I've gotten one in my groin area for the first time in my life, and I am 57. I apologize if this is too graphic, but I can prick it with a pin and squeeze out pus and blood, but it seems to fill back up in a week. Thanks. I'm just asking because I hate to go to the hospital (especially with the low energy of CFS), and I don't have insurance.

I have used a bread & milk poultice to draw out boils & it really works well. Just soak bread in milk, place on boil, hold with a bandage. Change often.

Ohhh man I used to get pilonidal cysts--SO painful! I let them run their course until I started getting it more than once per year. I've had a lot of little procedures, but few have been as bad as the blinding pain of cutting and draining that thing. I still can't believe they didn't numb me or anything.

I hope it doesn't come back for you! Mine has been successfully gone for almost 2 years now. Hang in there during recovery. It'll keep getting better.

Mine is almost completely gone now. All I did was keep putting antibiotic cream on it. With type II Diabetes and CFS, my body can't fight off infections and stuff like I used to. Heck even bruises take a long time to go away. So, I asked the Lord to help me and heal me.

Dare I ask Him to heal me of CFS? What do you think ladies?
