I've had a bad couple of days -- joint pain, bad stomach, headache, exhaustion .... you know.
My husband and I are dog people. We lost a dog today --- Lucy (aka Lucretia McEvil). She'd been having seizures for a few months and she'd been really sick the past week or so. I know it was time.
I used to take a lot of photos. I when I was healthy, I had a 35mm that I carried everywhere. My husband gave me a new camera (that he really couldn't afford) last year in an effort to get me out of the house. I'm not much good at photography, but I love to try. Some people think I'm crazy to waste time and energy taking so many pictures (people, pets, landscapes, woods, you name it!), but I'm glad of every photo I have and I wish I had more.If you like dogs, go check out my photos of Lucy. Yes, that's how she looked all of the time -- one ear up, the other ear down. I took the snowy photo on Mar. 24 and the other one on Nov. 8 (6 days ago). Last Friday, I "wasted" the whole afternoon taking pictures of chickens and dogs and I'm very glad that I did.
There are things we all have to do. Prioritizing is a must. But, don't ever let a dirty house, or whatever, stop you from doing what you love when you can.

I don't think you wasted your time taking pictures, it's very worthy of your time.
Sometimes I'm hesitant to tell people (other than here in the forum) of anything fun I do. I expect judgement. I'm exhausted all the time, my home is very messy, I have things I never get around to, and I go to a board game group? It makes me sound lazy, like I only have the energy for fun things.

I have learned to make certain fun things a priority. I could use every bit of energy I have to housework, still have a messy house, and be completely miserable.
Getting to do things I enjoy, meeting up with people who are glad to see me, I feel better. The fatigue lightens. I can sometimes do a little more in a day for awhile.
I think joy is the best treatment for cfs.
I'm really happy you're a picture taker! That's awesome. I'm not "techy" enough to work my hubby's camera and I don't have one of my own. But believe me, I treasure the photos my family have taken through the years. I love looking back at my daughter, growing up....my mom before she passed, my wedding....my own pets!! Pictures tell stories of the heart.

I'm into dogs and photography as well. Ironically, I've been saying for 2 years that I was going to take pictures of an old, falling apart church outside of town. I was just drawn to it. Finally, today, I took my service dog and drove out there. Go figure.
Someone had purchased it, and it had been all re-stuccoed and painted, all the windows replaced. Now that it's nice, I'm not interested.
