I took this for a while. It was expensive and did nothing.

I have been taking D-Ribose for about 4 months now. I haven't found that it gave me energy, but it does make me feel less "weak" and it has helped me sleep. I was taking it twice a day, but I have problems with IBS and I felt it was upsetting my stomach and so I quit taking it, but I wasn't sleeping well. So now I am taking it just once a day after dinner and my stomach seems better and I am sleeping. I think it is worth giving it a chance. Everyone is different.

Boing36, thank you for your comment. D-Ribose was suggested to me. I am really poor. It would have been awful to spend energy going to the store, looking for it, and then finding out it's expensive. Worse buying it and getting little or no difference when it could have been something me or my kids needs.

I understand that we respond to this stuff differently. If I had insurance or extra $ I would consider trying it.

I tried capsules from the store and found it helped so now i buy it in bulk powder form from ebay.Its not a complete fix though,right now im in a fibro flare and the exhaustion is knocking me out by the early afternoon.

It's definitely worth trying. I took it three times a day for about 3 months but I never noticed anything. It is kind of pricey so I stopped it and started taking really high quality multiple vit. and other supplements that are suppose to be good for CFS and fibro.

hi i take 3 tablets in the morning, any later than that and i cant sleep. I feel they do help, but in a kinda subtle way if you know what i mean x

I tried over the counter D-Ribse and then from a Homopathic dr.

It worked for awhile and then it stopped.

I was so glad to have the small bit of energy I received from it even for a short time.

All of us are different, so it is worth trying to see if it will help you. Right now I am taking Isocort. My Homopathic doctor sells it to me, and for the first time in almost a year, I feel some energy.

been on ribose for 4 years i buy it from nutra bio finds it helps me. buy about 20 percent. my pain is less . have stopped a few times but always go back to it. buy it in bulk and only buy the 100percent pure . cost me about 10 dollars aust a week. dont take anything else. not bad for brain fog either. all the best kevin

I just HAVE to respond to your question. I'm a D-Ribose junkie! I LOVE the stuff!! If I stop taking it for even a couple days, I start feeling worse again. I usually buy the brand, Corvalen, from Amazon, but sometimes I get the NOW foods brand. I also take "Adrenal Stress End" by Enzymatic Therapy. The "Adrenal Stress End" capsules are only 19 cents each and I take two/day. For vitamins, I use the Energy Revitalization powder by Enzymatic Therapy. I am a believer in the guidance found in the book, "From Fatigued to Fantastic." Yes-these things are costing more than I have and I'm chosing to go a bit further in debt to feel healthier, but I just might be able to get my life back! I've only been doing this stuff for a few months, but things are definitely getting better! If there's any way for you to give it a try, GO FOR IT!!! It's worth it!

I've been taking D-Ribose for almost 2 years now. I use the Swanson Vitamins (.com) brand powder version. I found this to be the least expensive of the powders and works just as well as the Corvalen. I would not want to be without this, I also use the Energy Revitalization powder and the two together have made a noticeable difference in overall feeling a little better, not a miracle, but enough to make it worth the cost. The combination also helps ease the muscle pain and stiffness. I know not everything works for everyone but it's worth trying for a few months to see if it does. I had a little rebellious tantrum during the summer and stopped using the two powders....I was just sick of the whole powder/supplement regimen thing....I discovered quickly after NOT taking it how much it actually helps. So, if you can afford it, it's definetly worth trying, and if it works for you, then you can decide if it's worth the cost. Good luck!
