On the Amour, I am subclinical/boarderline hypothyroid, so use a thyroid glandular. (Think my Doc uses that if you have a TSH of 3 to 5. Otherwise-above 5 - I think she uses Amour.) For me the natural hormone works great. Was on some Thyrolar earlier which is a mix of T3 & T4. That brought my TSH down, but did nothing for my symptoms.
Hope this helps!
I do a lot for the candida, but no I would not try Cortef again, personally, after my experience with it. I'm dealing with some genetic liver issues also that make the candida/leaky gut more extreme for me than most. Trust your gut (Ha!) on what might work best for you. If you do decide to go with the Cortef you might want to up your candida defenses with colostrum, etc.
Best of luck!!
on both for several years. Ok. Lynx. I didn't know cortef fed
candida? I also tried to phase off onto some glandular which I'm too
tired today to go and find the name of, but it was difficlut. My
energy dropped off alot. Now, I've found out I'm hyperthyroid and
am on a lower dose (armour). I would try them both again but I
feel I'm in a transition and want to see if I can phase off the cortef
again. Everyone's system is different and reacts different so my
outlook is a try it and see how it goes one. .
