Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Support Group
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) describes a sense of exhaustion and post-exertion malaise, even when you have gotten enough rest and sleep. The disease is characterized by six months of incapacitating fatigue experienced as profound exhaustion and extremely poor stamina, and problems with concentration and short-term memory. The cause is unknown, but it is a...
Hold on and if you need to cry, allow it - even embrace it. Tears are the body's way of excreting some of the stress inducing substances that can build up in your system. It's not going to be easy, but you can get through it.
As a mother, I'm hoping that you will be able to hold onto your kids and experience the joy of Christmas through their eyes.
I have had the worst argument with my eldest today and asked her to leave. If helping me causes so much negativity Id rather cope alone. My heart is broken but my heart has been so damaged these last few years one way and another soon there will be nothing left to break :(
From them though, I learned that heartbreak, while unbearable at the time, heals far more readily than you would believe. Love is the glue that puts the heart back together and I'm sure your eldest loves you at the deepest part of her being.
This might be an easy thing for me to say from this distance, but it sounds like your relationship is going through a period of change. I don't know what shape it will take next, but things will, I'm sure, come back together again. I only wish I could give you the big hug I feel you need right now.
The swelling and the pain sound really awful, and it sounds really hard at your workplace. I don't know what to say except that it sounds like you are a strong person and you will survive this. Like Triunfadora says look for the moments of joy, and also the little things. There's always a part of us, like the eye of a storm, that this illness can't touch, that no amount of pain and suffering can shake. That's what I've found, and it gives me comfort.
i hope things get better for you.
This is a time to be very Gentle with yourself dear. Please try not to worry or give your worries a kick to the road. Worry never solves anything and it makes you sick. This illness can make us depressed yet alone dealing with life's challenges on top of it all. There are natural herbs that help inflammation and I found changing my eating habits helped with pain a great deal. I use to be on painkillers and they added to my depression. So, I weaned off of them and eat a plant based diet, no meat and just some goat cheese as dairy. Now I can take Tylenol for bad pain days and rest.
I know everyone's body is different, however you might want to try a change of diet. I also drink veggie and fruit smoothies. Ginger helps much with inflammation. Fresh ginger tea or putting it in your food.
Again, please be extra gentle to yourself with loving care. You deserve to be loved and cared for tenderly. I do not have anyone to give this to me except here, so I give it to myself. This dreaded illness has taught me to LOVE myself and this is the silver lining for me. LOVE can burrs everything
May you feel better and look to the sky and let the shadows fall behind you.
LOVE & LIGHT
Debra
But I get up in the morning, force myself to get my work done, and somehow get through another day.
Try to accept that you're going to feel rotten at times, and hopeless. Hang in there, and usually it gets better. But you already know this I'm sure. Maybe it will help to know that you're not suffering alone, that we're in this pickle with you...even though the world has no clue what we struggle with just to stay even.
Try not to dislocate your shoulder doing this, but take a minute to reach around and pat yourself on the back. Tell yourself what a good job you've done in spite of everything that tries to stop you. Lesser souls would have given up long ago.
