I have a fibro sheet of exercises to do while in bed. The FIRST thing on there, is to take three deep breaths. I don't know why we don't do this....but we need to make a conscious effort to try.
Since I started deep breathing as an every day "must do", I find that I feel "breathless" much less often. We have to fill up them lungs!!!
I started doing an exercise called Qi Gong. It's very slow movements combined with breathing and I don't do have the yawning attacks near as often as I did prior to the exercise. I think for some reason (either tired or pain), we tend to not breath as deeply as we did prior to becoming ill.
Have also found that I hyperventilate a whole lot quicker than I used to. Breathing is a very slow process... when I go to the doctor and they tell me to breathe, I have to say after the second one "Hold up, if I breathe any faster I'll pass out."
