I suffer from light sensitivity as well. I have uv shaded film on all my windows, wear coolibar clothes, found some uv blocking contacts in zero strength to wear all day...etc. Sun not only gives me migraines with the usual visual issues but also affects me as if I had lupus, with intense muscle pain the days following exposure, which I have been told numerous times I do not.... so I feel your pain, literally.
I hadn't heard of the riboflavin connection.
I take a sublingual b complex that has 100% of the rda but that's all as far as supplements. Looking at a list I found it would seem I get another 100% from the food I eat daily.
Doesn't look like it can get toxic, like most B's you just pee out what you don't need and B absorption is so prevalent among us, I don't see how it could hurt to up it and see if it helps.
I wanted to also mention that when my iron is low, I have even more light sensitivity than when it is not. I can't say if that is because my b2 is also low then or if whatever causes low iron also causes light sensitivity. (sure would be nice if we came with a plug in diagnosis port like a computer...)
Wondering if you have been checked for a connective tissue disorder? I'm hearing much from folks who are not dx with lupus but have all the symptoms and they are getting that dx. The thought is it might be another AI disease with no test as of yet...
