One more question for today as I'm researching things. I read a favorable review from what seems to be an actual use of the supplement Fibronol, which is aimed at treating fibromyalgia, specifically the pain and tiredness. It is, however, rather expensive. It seems like the ingredients in it are pretty good, and are ones generally associated with improving fatigue. I'd really like to try it, but I am so broke from not being able to work much and spending so much on doctors and other remedies... you all know how it is. So, has anyone tried it? Thoughts?

i have not sweetie. I understand that Lyrica has been approved by the FDA for treatment of fibromyaglic pain, and I believe Savella has been shown to decrease substance-p pathway hyperresponse (pain). Savella also increases serotonin (the feel-good neoro transmitter) and norepinephin (helps you think).
Valacyclovir has shown good ability to decrease viral load when taken at 2-3 times the ususal dose according to studies I have read.

I was reading some about Lyrica and Savella but I'm terrified to try them after a really awful reaction I had to Zoloft years ago. I know that just because I couldn't tolerate the one doesn't mean the others wouldn't help, but after Zoloft covered me in cold sweats and chained me to the toilet vomiting for hours, then left me feeling sick for the next three days... I'm nervous, lol.

I have not tried Fibronol, but I have tried Lyrica and was on it for a year. It wasn't until I went off it that I realized that it was the med that was throwing me into deep feelings of despair. They switched me out to Cymbalta and that just left me feeling dead inside. Didn't care about myself or anyone else.

I am normally a happy, upbeat person and I'm so happy to be off these so called Fibro meds. They didn't do anything for my pain anyway. I will not try Savella or anymore anti-depressants that only make me depressed.

I seem to be stabilized with Norco for my worst pain and Xanax for insomnia, but there is nothing yet for feeling exhausted day after day.

I have a giant box of all the meds that have been prescribed for me over the years and didn't work. I wish I could return them for money back.
