Has anyone else had a flu jab and suffered really bad side effects from it?
I had mine yesterday afternoon, and last night my head started pounding, I was aching all over, and felt so incredibly weak, and tired, it was all I could do just to get up to bed.
I have been the same all day, my head has finally eased a bit, but it still feels like it is burning inside.(Looking at the monitor is doing me no favours but I needed to come on here as I feel very alone atm, feeling so bad).
I just wondered if anyone else had suffered any side effects, or if it is just a coincidence that I had it and have been like this?

The flu shot contains the flu virus ... so you had or have the flu! Here's hoping it just goes away quietly.

Yes I had a bad reaction!! I had pain for 2 days from the top of my arm to the bottom of my arm. Then i got a rash on both forearms and my asthma was acting up. The next I was overly fatigued(felt like flu fatigue not CFS fatigue) and had an abnormaly painful migraine and all I could was sleep for 24 hours. Then it all went away.

I got the flu in Sept. and was hospitalized for it, but I have a bunch of problems with throwing up and being able to stop...good luck, take vitamin c, it helps with the immune system!!!

I've been told that people with CFS have over-active immmune systems and shouldn't take flu shots because they WILL get the flu from them!

Let's hope in your case it doesn't last as long as viruses hang on with us.

I have to tell you every time I get the flu shot I get sick the next day, and it usually lasts for 3 days. My son is supposed to get the flu shot every year, and they always wanted us to get it too. He never used to get sick from it, but year before last he was in the office because he was sick and the stuuupppidddd nurse gave him the shot anyway, and my husband just trusted her. It was the day before Thanksgiving, and we have memorialized in pictures how sick he got from that stupid shot. I have to be careful, because now that he's gotten sick from it I don't know how safe it is for him. He has a Dr. appt. on wednesday, and I know I need to make sure they don't try to give him the flu shot. He was coughing up blood yesterday, I'm sure that shot would make things worse. Oh and just for the record don't try and tell your doctor that you got the flu from the shot. Every doctor out there will tell you that "the virus in the shot isn't alive, and if you got the flu right after the shot it only means that you were already exposed". Not my words. Not my belief either. Does anyone know how to get stuff like that reported to the CDC or the FDA or some other letters that might do something about it. Most of my grandkids get bad reactions to their immunizations, and one even ended up in the intensive care unit the day after the stupid nurse gave her a shot when she was in the office because she was sick. Parents you can't allow these idiots to bully you into hurting your babies. If you or your child is sick don't get any immunizations of any kinds!!!!! And as far as the flu shot goes. If you've had a bad reaction one time the chances are that it'll happen every time. Hang on for a couple days, and remember this for next year.
