I'm really sorry I couldn't make myself better understood. Been thinking about this during the night for hours trying to make it easier to say in case you stop back.
I wasn't saying you might not have CFS. You very well may. What I was saying is that IF your doctor is saying your fatigue will pass with menopause; it is not CFS. CFS doesn't work like that. If you do have CFS and we hope you do not, there are specific tests at your endo and other specialists ((rheumatology/physiatry(pain doc)/neurology)) to bear out the diagnosis. I am concerned that your doc is putting you into the CFS category for lack of bothing to figure out something else might be wrong, because more investigation is definitely in order. If you do end up having CFS, then sadly you would discover that there is no end date in sight. It's a lifelong diagnosis with occasional remissions.

annie! We DO take your seirously!! That's why we were trying to guide you to a proper diagnosis! We're all hoping that this is something hormonal or otherwise that will not through you into the CFS category.

It isn't us that aren't taking you seriously, my friend! It's usually the doctors. No one wants to see that happen to you.

So very sorry if anything I said hurt your feelings or offended you. Of course you are welcome here, dear one.

Going through the diagnosis process can be SO confusing, frustrating, bewildering, and every time a doctor thinks they have made the correct diagnosis, we're SO relieved in a sense because AT LEAST it finally has a name!!!

At least for you, there seems to be so very much room for hope, that this could turn out to be something that can be fixed. CFS is generally unfixable. We do not mean to diminish what you're going through.
