I've found bike-riding to be something I can tolerate much better than running too. Can't tolerate much of it, but it does feel really good when I can do it. I think it's because there are fewer repetitions of movement with bike-riding.
Great news about your job, do you have to move around the store a lot?
I notice biking is less demanding on my breathing which is usually frustrating with my sinus issues. Also, my random limping is not an issue.
I used to own a TV shop and I didn't mind waiting on customers. It never seemed to bother me somehow. Actually I enjoyed it, now that I think about it. But maybe I wasn't as sick back then. Now I get all stressed out just from talking to someone on the phone.
I often think about whether I could work again...I could sure use the money.
On your break, try the sandwiches. They are the best - better than Subway or Quiznos.
Since you are on your feet all day, I have a line of shoes to recomend. The Skecher's weight loss shoes are ideal for if you have to stand all day. I have a pair and I swear I last longer on outings if I wear them. For anyone wondering I doubt they help anyone lose weight...unless you are able to exercise but stop due to sore feet...then these would help with that.
