Hi

I know we ere generally intolerant to alcohol, but juts wondered if there is reason to believe that drinking too much alcohol could be a cause of cfs/fibro in some people

Any thoughts

Not in my case. I have never had more that 3-4 drinks in one week. There are many weeks or months when I have no alcohol. Those are my thoughts.

I have never been a drinker. My max used to be one shot of amaretto a week. I was not drinking at all when I came down with this. I had an alcoholic ex husband and didn't keep booze in the house for the entire time my kids lived with me a after we split, about 11 years.
However, I do have an addictive personality.... sugar...sex...drama...lottery tickets....internet... have all been the focus of it at one time or another in my life.
I would hypothesize that those with addictive personalities have something in their makeup, be it emotional, adrenal, whatever.... that does make us more likely we will get this thing. I believe I remember reading more than once that we tend to be type A folks in our pre illness lives....hope that made sense, bad day for fog.

No not in my case either, hardly drank as i was too much of an exercise junkie. .....There goes that addictive personality.
