Christian Support Group Community Group
This is a place for everyone who loves Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior (or those who are seeking Him), to come and discuss important issues in their lives and find support from fellow believers in regards to their faith and life. We uphold the Bible and living a Christ-like life, not as a way to heaven, but as a reflection of our love for God.
Struggling. Relapsed today. Lost Christian

I can sit here and try to come up with a million reasons why I may have done what I did today. Why I so easily threw 14 months of recovered time down the drain. But the truth is I just did it. I just wanted to get high. Among other feelings of guilt, and disappointment in myself. I am just feeling lost. This past year I did so much work to get where I am. I made a commitment to God, to myself, that I was done. When I was sitting in jail, contemplating my life thus far. I prayed, I rededicated my life to Jesus. The road was hard, but I made it this far. I'm not sure when I lost my footing this past year. My heart is filled with sorrow to this thought. And I try to keep my eyes on Jesus, to look only to him, not to dwell on my situation. I see many people delivered from their bondage, whatever it may be. I pray for that. But deep down somewhere in all my prayer, in everything I have done, I'm just unsure of my identity now. I know with all my heart I wanted change. I want Jesus to take hold of my life, and use me for his will. But from my understanding, surrendering your life to Jesus will only truly take hold if you mean it deep within your heart. I don't know what exactly to ask on this group. I just need guidance.

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...

My husband and I got our foster license last month, after 3 years of hard work (we had to start over multiple times due to family dramas and Mom's open heart surgery). We spent a year preparing the whole house, guest rooms, and children's bathroom for older kids of 7 yr old and up. Then we got a call that we have been approved to receive twin newborn premies. What, what?!! Babies!? Premies?!...

The thing to do, is remember God does forgive you. And you are an addict, which you know, and so it is going to be a fight for you. But, you also know Jesus can help you.
Are you getting any Christian fellowship, especially right now, during the pandemic? Are you able to watch a church service, at least weekly. Daily Bible reading is important, and pair is with prayer. I've been reading my Bible daily since I was saved 40 years ago, and it has helped keep me on the straight and narrow.
I will be praying for you, and please come back and post often. We are here for you.
"Heavenly Father, I pray for Ashava that you would minister to her soul. Help her to forgive herself. and give her renewed strength to serve you. Be there to encourage her and comfort her. Lead her in the direction of a clean, godly life, and bring people alongside to help her through this difficult time in her spiritual walk. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen."
