This is a place for everyone who loves Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior (or those who are seeking Him), to come and discuss important issues in their lives and find support from fellow believers in regards to their faith and life. We uphold the Bible and living a Christ-like life, not as a way to heaven, but as a reflection of our love for God.
The good news first: I've "adopted" four feral cats who live in an abandoned trailer across the street from my place. Even though I don't get to show them affection with their Fancy Feast (because they're wild) they have gotten used to me and greet me when I bring food over.
The bad news: a woman who lives in this group home told me she'd priced dry cat food at Walmart and said it was $11.88 for a large bag. The lady who lives next door to the cats is already giving them dry food,I told "Jane". She said "Oh no,you have to buy this,it's better." Here's where I made my mistake: I gave her $12 and told her to pick up the dry food next time she went to Walmart because I don't usually go to Walmart. The result; she spent the money on something else,then when I asked about the cat food,she said she didn't have the food or the money. She stole from me after I trusted her. Since I've lived in these homes, I've also had $40 stolen from my purse and my dresser drawers rifled through. And I'm supposed to feel safe here?

The 2nd situation is a worry How did someone else get into room to go through your drawers, and also get to your purse? Maybe you need a padlock with a combination.
I think people are hard up for money these days, more than before, and it pays to not be too trusting these days. Hope all works out in the future for you at this home. Perhaps the stolen money from the purse should be reported to someone who might be able to get the money back for you. Hang in...
The really scary part is that as a Christian, I try so hard to be nice to these people and make it like a family,but it's not a family...and I had to sit in the dining room eating with the other residents when the $40 was taken and think, "One of these people is a thief."
