Christian Support Group Community Group
This is a place for everyone who loves Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior (or those who are seeking Him), to come and discuss important issues in their lives and find support from fellow believers in regards to their faith and life. We uphold the Bible and living a Christ-like life, not as a way to heaven, but as a reflection of our love for God.
We are responsible for our own lives. We can only help others, as much as God might use us to help them. Others will see you as different, because through Christ you are wonderfully different. It is taking heart in knowing that if others look down on you, that The Lord will just lift you up higher. It is being a Godpleaser, and knowing your life is pleasing God. That is forever. Being a Godpleaser also means showing His Love to others, as He has shown and shows us. If not for Love, then all would be condemned to eternal death. That means helping in a constructive and compassionate way, and not in a judgemental (which can look very hateful) way. Someone can't be helped up when fallen, if they are being beating down. Help out those around you, and your life will be a testimony to God's Love and Grace. I hope this was of any help. If so, then all praise goes to God. If not, then I apologize. You are in my prayers. Thank you and God Bless.
Ever since i left my old ways to become closer to God, i felt like ive been unaccepted and alone in this world. I felt as if people wouldnt want to get to know me because im not who i was before. People liked the old me where i had a bad habit of swearing, drinking, going out, listening to modern music, gossiping, etc. Its sad to know that those i considered "friends" werent really accepting the new me. So i had to let them go and start anew.
However, im proud to say that i have found peace in God by repenting and giving Him everything that I am and making me the person i am today. Praise God!!
So i would say that we both should be patient and humble ourselves to His timing. He is never too early, He is never too late. His timing is always Perfect. Trust and have faith in Him. He will show the right people and bring them into our lives. The ones who are meant to stay and accept us for who we are regardless.
My prayers are with you, dear sister. God bless x
As far as seeing a fellow Christian not live what they believe, that is a more tricky situation. We can't see their hearts. The Lord can. We all mess up, so that does make them less a Christian. Help needs someone asking for it, or showing them in your life how they can serve The Lord better. Always good to show compassion and understanding. I hope this was of any help. You are in my prayers. Thank you and God Bless.
We live in a fallen world. THIS IS NOT OUR HOME. I PRAY YOU WILL COME TO KNOW your perfect place in the Kingdom of the Lord.
Blessings
A really good book you might want to read, about our journey with Christ, is the timeless “Pilgrim’s Progress” by John Bunyan.
It is about another sojourner with Christ, and all the things that way lay him in life, but he has to keep pressing forward. That includes leaving people behind.
I read it in the older English for a course I needed in seminary. I needed one more credit to graduate, that course was it. I figured it was a throw away, just keep my head down and finish it.
Was I surprised how God used that book in my life! The final assignment was to write about how my life was like the book. I saw so clearly how God led me through all those trials and pitfalls, and brought me through it. I think that book was written over 200 years ago. Yet, I had so much in common with it. We all do. It was the only other book people used to have in their houses, besides the Bible. So, I would encourage you to read it!
I think we should make some effort to keep friends, and share what God is doing in our lives. But, if they reject what you say, then be on your way! It sounds harsh, but as someone else said, God is in charge of their spiritual walk, not you. We can only be obedient to where God wants us to go, and they will have to deal with God, themselves.
