Christian Support Group Community Group
This is a place for everyone who loves Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior (or those who are seeking Him), to come and discuss important issues in their lives and find support from fellow believers in regards to their faith and life. We uphold the Bible and living a Christ-like life, not as a way to heaven, but as a reflection of our love for God.

Hello everyone, I'm Netta. Im a strong believer in Christ. Im also a human being too. I decided to look on line for a support group but that was Christian based. I hope I have come to the right place. I wont be talking about God all the time but God is with me because HE lives in me.
Anyways, im recently divorced. Literally my divorce just got legal October 3, 2017. So im doing my best learning to be alone with myself and get to know who am I really. Im 47 and I havent been without a man in my life since I was the age of 18!
Can you imagine how hard its been for me to be alone. I have three teenage children living at home to keep me busy but it doesn't take the place of companionship. Lol!
I'm also a former drug user. I use to drink and drug sometimes but I am clean and sober now, but my old fleshly desires try to resurface whenever im stressed or bored!
I gave my life to Christ at age 14. Im 45 now and still have so many struggles. I talk with God daily and HE talks with me but I don't have any outside support. I just would like somebody to talk with. Im pretty much a loner. I read the word of God alot and try to gain wisdom and knowledge and strength for some of the things I am going through. Sometimes I do! Sometimes I don't!
Imma stop here because I feel like this is more than enough right now.

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...

My husband and I got our foster license last month, after 3 years of hard work (we had to start over multiple times due to family dramas and Mom's open heart surgery). We spent a year preparing the whole house, guest rooms, and children's bathroom for older kids of 7 yr old and up. Then we got a call that we have been approved to receive twin newborn premies. What, what?!! Babies!? Premies?!...

I'm sorry to hear you are suffering from your divorce. That is a long time to be married and then lose that person.
I think reading the Bible is the best thing! And praying! Do you go to church? Many churches have divorce support groups these days. There isn't the stigma that there used to be.
As for those urges, I think we all at times try to go back to the "old man." But, God wants us to look forward. You need to find some things you can do to keep you from wanting to go back. Things like exercising or crafts, or gardening or whatever? And of course, your children!
As for talking about God, that is all we do here! Of course, anyone is welcome to talk about other things, like interests or issues, of course.
