This is a place for everyone who loves Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior (or those who are seeking Him), to come and discuss important issues in their lives and find support from fellow believers in regards to their faith and life. We uphold the Bible and living a Christ-like life, not as a way to heaven, but as a reflection of our love for God.
Having the courage to share my life experience here has always been difficult,not knowing how people will see me ,since most people don't befriend the poor.
My life has been a difficult one since God blessed me with parents but did not give then the resources to take care of me.My dad lost all he has has and my mum's business alsi collapsed.I had to survive on my own to make things work...had to save my pocket money and little tikens u received from friends secretly in order to pay for my fees.Through this secret starvation i develop ulcer which was later treated.I did this so i could complete junior and senior high school.With time my junior brother had to drop out of school since there was no money.Lately i had to work to support the little my parents were providing.It got to a time i had to stop working and continue with my education.Hmmmm...since then thongs became tougher since we fed on hand to moutg but sometimes i tend to think God knows best.Currently my dad is old and i dont know what will become of our lives,much more my brother's life since he had little education.I almost got raped when i asked a man for financial assistance.Once another man promised to help me set up a little business so i can empoly my brother while i school in order to support myself and my family,provided i date him and have sex with him.Since i refused he also refused to assist me.I did that because i knew it was sin to fornicate much more do that with a married man.I just pray that God sends me help in time before i drift because i dont want to.Looks life the world is cruel to christians and nothing is given freely.

Can I add to this ,the following please.
I assume then that when we are feeling depressed ..miserable ,,and weepy ,this means we are not in our sweet Lord`s company (as he )doesn't want us to be this way he wants us to be happy. Or is it that we are still in the company of our sweet Lord even when we feel this way ?

My pastor has always preached that when you are feeling down do something good for someone else and it will help you feel better. I believe this to be the case some of the time, but there are times that it is not just mind over matter. So yes you can still be in the company of the Lord while you are suffering from depression. I was and no one can tell me otherwise. He was and is my Rock!
Isaiah 41:10, "Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." (NASB)
And I think you may underestimate a bunch of folks, I don't ask to see a brother's or sister's checkbook before I will be their friend! Don't be so hard on yourself. I am going to pray for some confidence for you! Are you part of a GOOD church? If not find one and quick. I know at my church nobody goes hungry, we try to take care of our own. Talk with your pastor an get rid of the junk. Keep talking to God and asking for clarification of his will. Thanks for your testimony, keep on fighting and keep God first.
