...Some people think that they never can get so far as that every word of their mouth should be to the glory of God. But it is what God wants of them, it is what God expects of them. God is willing to set a watch at the door of their mouth, and if God will do that, cannot He keep their tongue and their lips? He can; and that is what God is going to do for them that trust Him. God’s keeping is all-inclusive, and let everyone who longs to live a holy life think out all their needs, and all their weaknesses, and all their shortcomings, and all their sins, and say deliberately: “Is there any sin that my God cannot keep me from?” And the heart will have to answer: “No; God can keep me from every sin...”

I totally believe in the omnipotence of God. However, to say we can have no sin, is ridiculous! The whole point of Jesus dying and being resurrected and then ascending to heaven, was to save us for our sins.
BUT, it did not end there! Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to be our advocate, comforter and teacher.
"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will TEA CH you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you." John 14:27
Why would we need a teacher, if we were already perfect??
"for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say." Luke 12:12
There is so much we do not know, until God teaches us. We are not yet complete, or perfect. And that applies to our life here on earth! Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to walk with us every day, to guide and teach us.
If you read any stories about "old saints" and I mean people that are Christians, especially those who are old, they will all tell you that sin is a struggle and a tempation. Even Jesus was tempted.
"As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him." 1 John 2:27
You rarely post about the roll of the Holy Spirit, or why Jesus sent him to earth. Well, the reason is that he teaches us, because we are not yet perfect. And that means that we do need to recognize the life long process of being saved. It is arrogant to claim y0u do not sin, Walter!
Oh wait, you have never answered me when I have asked you if you are sin free? Because you would need to basically be Jesus to be sin free.
"My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world." 1 John 2:1-2
We do not try to sin! We certainly repent of our sins, and confess them! But we are not yet perfect. God is working with us, and we should rejoice in that!
