A tricky part is how can Christians convince Non Christians about God's existence. People usually don't believe something exists unless they can see it. It seems the way to get someone to believe the truth (God's existence and Bible) is to show God('s existence) to them. Showing Bible verses to them is one of the things to do which is like sowing the seeds. Living what we preach is another way. I think it is like we keep showing the persons God's letters to them especially the loving messages. We let God speak to them through His words and (we) treat them with kindness and let God do the part of the seeds growing or not.

" Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2 For by it the people of old received their commendation. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible." Hebrews 11;1-3

Faith is not something that we can see! "conviction of things not seen" (vs 1). I think prayer has to be the first step in anyone coming to Christ. I prayed for my father for 31 years, before he got saved. Then, God broke through, and he understood his need for God and his repentance from sin. My sister took 38 years of prayer!

Now, I did witness, read the Bible, did apologetics with the Bible, and loved them. But, God is the one who saved people, although he has called us to be part of the process.

"Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matt 28:16-20

Here, God tells us to "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations"! Powerful command for all of us. I think if we were all doing our part, the harvest would be finished soon! But, that is in God's hands!

"Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”" Matt 9:36-38

Here, in Matt 9, Jesus reminds us the Lord of the harvest is looking for labourers. Are we obeying this command, or are we walking our own way!

Thank you for this post Marlene. It reminds me of an old poem we learned years ago. I have been looking for it all over the internet and cannot find it anywhere... Frustrating!! So if anybody finds it, please let me know!!
